The subject of the Postgraduate Program “Communication” is
the study, research and provision of postgraduate education in the fields of Communication, with two specializations:
A. Political and Public Communication
B. Cultural Management and Communication
The purpose of the Postgraduate Program is to cultivate and promote scientific knowledge in the fields of Communication, as well as to develop research in the scientific fields of the two specializations.
A key advantage of the Program is the opportunity for internships, which enable students to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world settings and expand their professional prospects.
Classes take place from Monday to Friday, in the afternoon, after 5:00 PM
The courses are held in person, while they can also be held using distance learning methods, in accordance with the conditions and limitations provided for in article 67 of Law 4957/2022 (A 141) as in force. In particular, they can be held remotely in cases of:
a) force majeure or extraordinary circumstances, where it is not possible to conduct the educational process in person or use the infrastructure of the School or the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in general,
b) organization of in depth courses and tutorial exercises, beyond the mandatory teaching hours per course,
c) teaching with the participation of Professors from foreign institutions,
collaborating or invited Professors from HEIs outside the region.
For any other case not provided for by the founding act and these Regulations, permission from the Assembly is required following a reasoned recommendation from the Coordinating Committee.
The duration for the award of the Postgraduate Diploma is set at a minimum of 3 (three) semesters, which includes the time for the preparation and assessment of the postgraduate thesis. The maximum permitted time for completing studies is set at 3 semesters, except in cases of suspension or extension of studies or part-time study.
Tuition fees amount to three thousand euros (3,000.00€) for one cycle of studies.
Yes, there is the possibility of exemption, according to the procedure provided for in article 86 of law 4957/2022. Students are informed by the Secretariat of the Postgraduate Program about the deadlines and the necessary supporting documents, after registration is completed, at the beginning of the academic year.
