Academic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Public Administration, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens
- Master of Arts (MA) in Communication, Culture and Society, Department of Sociology, Goldsmiths College, University of London
- PhD in the Department of Communication and Media Studies, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens
Academic and research interests: Qualitative research focusing on the sociology of media, popular culture, and ideology in Greece (from 1974 to the preset).
Professional experience: Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Political Sciences at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Department of Communication and Media Studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2007–2010). Since 2012, faculty member in the School of Journalism and Mass Communications at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, specializing in the “Sociology of Communication.” Regular contributor since 2010 to major Greek media outlets with opinion pieces and scholarly analyses.
Scientific work: Extensive research activity, with dozens of publications in academic journals and edited volumes (both in Greek and international editions). Author of four academic books and co-editor of seven collective scholarly volumes. Among other memberships, serves on the Board of the Hellenic Sociological Society.
