Academic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from the Faculty of Philosophy of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki
- Master’s degree (Faculty of Philosophy of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki – School of Philology – Department of Linguistics)
- Doctoral degree (Faculty of Philosophy, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki – Department of Philology – Department of Linguistics)
Scientific and Research Interests: Media sociolinguistics (linguistic diversity of journalistic and digital discourse), journalistic discourse analysis (theory and typology of genres, linguistic profile of journalistic genres, reported discourse in the Media, etc.), advertising discourse analysis (narrative persuasion in commercial advertisements, rhetoric of political advertisements, etc.), corpus linguistics.
Professional Experience: Scientific associate of the Center for the Greek Language (Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs). Scientific associate of the Institute of Modern Greek Studies (Manolis Triantafyllides Foundation – Branch of the Faculty of Philosophy of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki). ). Faculty member of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communications at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2003 to present). Associate teaching staff at the Hellenic Open University as a tutor (2017 to present).
Scientific Work: Recognized research work that includes a large number of publications in international and Greek peer-reviewed scientific journals, chapters in books and conference proceedings, and monographs. Numerous presentations at international and national scientific conferences, as well as participation in international and nationally funded research programs. Reviewer in scientific journals and conference proceedings, and member of scientific associations (e.g. International Pragmatics Association, Hellenic Society of Applied Linguistics).
