Scientific and Research Interests: Scientific and research interests: Media literacy and disinformation, journalist safety, conflict coverage, public diplomacy, strategic communication, war journalism, risk and crisis communication.
Professional Experience: Professional experience: Professor (AUTh) teaching in undergraduate and postgraduate programs at the Department of Journalism and Media (2013-present): International Journalism, Television and Online Journalism, News Verification, Interview Techniques, Peace Journalism, Crisis Journalism. Teaching in postgraduate programs of other Departments of AUTh, Teaching at Deutsche Welle, University of Luxembourg, Sabanci University, Visiting Professor at the International University of Japan and in European programs. Previous teaching at DUTh, TEI of Western Macedonia, University of New York Skopje, University of Luxembourg and others.
Scientific work: More than 40 publications in international and Greek peer-reviewed scientific journals, writing and editing of books, participation in international research projects such as: EU-Check, Journalistic Role Performance (26 countries), pressEU_NextGen, Google DNI project for “Connected Audience”, “Smart Media” (2021). Scientific Research projects funded by Google, EU, PKM. Organizer of 12 international conferences and 10 International Summer Schools.
