  • BA on Sociology (Department of Sociology, Faculty of Philosophy, Sofia University “Sv. Kliment Ohridski”).
  • MA on Sociology (Department of Sociology, Faculty of Philosophy, Sofia University “Sv. Kliment Ohridski”).
  • PhD on the Sociology of Music (Faculty of Philosophy, Sofia University “Sv. Kliment Ohridski”.

Scientific and Research Interests: sociology of the arts, cultural and creative industries, cultural production, effects of globalization on communication, culture, and the arts, cultural management and cultural communication, quantitative data analysis.

Professional Experience: Research and teaching collaboration with the Departments of Primary Education, Economics, and Law at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (1997-2003). Lecturer (PD 407/80) at the Department of Language, Literature, and Culture of the Black Sea Countries at Democritus University of Thrace. Faculty at the Department of Journalism and Mass Media at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (since 2003). Associate teaching staff at the Hellenic Open University (2006-2023) in the Postgraduate Program “Cultural Management” of the School of Social Sciences, in the Thematic Unit “Cultural Communication” and Coordinator of the Unit (2017-2020). Visiting professor at the Department of Culture and Communication at the University of Paris 8 (Université de Vincennes à Saint-Denis – UFR Culture & Communication, 2009-2010 and 2011-2012). Teaching staff in the Postgraduate Program “Art & Public Sphere” (Sociology & Political Economy of Art).

Scientific work: Recognized research work exceeding seventy publications in three languages in international and Greek peer-reviewed scholarly journals, chapters in collective volumes, and editing of academic publications in the fields of the sociology of arts and culture, the sociology of music, and the sociology of education. Dozens of presentations at international and local conferences, as well as participation in international and local research programs.
